PRESETS FOR THE ARGON 8: Gaussian Tremors

A collection of presets for the Modal Electronics Argon 8 wavetable synthesizer. Drawing inspiration from the saturated tones of the Tascam Portastudio 4-track cassette recorders, this collection emulates their unstable, decaying sound. Through the use of subtle modulation and distortion, these presets aim to capture the character of the saturated, nostalgic recordings produced by the Tascam Machines. Despite this intentional degradation, the inherent clarity and fullness of wavetable synthesis persist, offering a distinctive blend of crisp tones and the nostalgic decay reminiscent of tape recording.
